Jeva Technologies OPC ("Jeva", "we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit jeva.ph, contact us, or engage us for services, how we use that information, and the rights you have over it. It is published in line with the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and its implementing rules.

1. Who we are

Jeva Technologies OPC is the data controller for personal information collected through this website and through direct communications with us. We are registered with the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission. You can reach us at [email protected].

2. Information we collect

We collect personal information in the following ways:

  • Information you give us directly. When you email us, apply for a role, or engage us for a project, you may share your name, email address, phone number, company, role, project details, resume, portfolio, and any other information you choose to include.
  • Automatically collected information. When you visit our website, we and our analytics providers automatically receive information such as your IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, and time spent on pages.
  • Cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies and similar technologies (including those set by Google Analytics and the Meta/Facebook Pixel) to understand how visitors use the site and to measure the performance of our marketing. See Section 6 for details.
  • Client data. In the course of an engagement, we may process data on behalf of our clients (for example, database content, user records, or documents). For that data we act as a data processor and our handling is governed by the engagement agreement with the client.

3. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • Respond to inquiries and provide the services you request from us;
  • Evaluate and communicate with job applicants;
  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve our website and services;
  • Analyze usage trends so we can make the site more useful;
  • Send service-related communications and, where permitted, updates about our work;
  • Comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms, and protect our rights.

4. Legal bases for processing

We process personal information based on one or more of the following: your consent; the necessity of processing to enter into or perform a contract with you; our legitimate interests in operating and improving our business; and compliance with our legal obligations.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:

  • Service providers. With trusted vendors that help us operate our business — for example, hosting (Firebase / Google Cloud), analytics (Google Analytics, Meta Pixel), email and productivity tools, and AI/LLM providers (such as OpenAI and Anthropic) where relevant to a service. These providers are only permitted to use the information to perform services for us.
  • Legal and safety. When required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
  • Business transfers. If Jeva is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to standard confidentiality protections.

Some of our service providers are located outside the Philippines. Where personal information is transferred internationally, we take reasonable measures to ensure it remains protected consistent with this policy and applicable law.

6. Cookies and analytics

We use first- and third-party cookies and similar technologies to understand site usage and improve performance. This currently includes:

  • Google Analytics — measures site traffic and usage patterns. Google's practices are described at policies.google.com/privacy.
  • Meta (Facebook) Pixel — helps us measure and improve the performance of our ads. Meta's practices are described at facebook.com/privacy/policy.

You can control cookies through your browser settings and opt out of many advertising cookies through the providers above. Disabling cookies may affect site functionality.

7. Data retention

We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law — for example, to maintain client and accounting records, respond to follow-up inquiries, or evaluate candidates over time. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

8. Security

We apply reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, including the Philippine Data Privacy Act, you have the right to:

  • Be informed about and access the personal information we hold about you;
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • Object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent where applicable;
  • Request erasure or blocking of your personal information;
  • Request data portability where applicable;
  • Lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission of the Philippines.

10. Children's privacy

Our website and services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

Our website may contain links to third-party sites and services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third parties. We encourage you to read their privacy policies before sharing information.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through the website or by other appropriate means.
